I would think the two finalists' performances in the finale would be inconclusive towards the final result. After all, it's a number game. The one who gets the most votes will be the winner.
Assuming Kris Allen is able to retain his extra 1 million votes over Adam Lambert, who would Danny Gokey's fans give their votes to? I would assume Kris Allen, whose characteristics are more akin to Danny Gokey.
